Four Birkirkara FC Women's Team players participated in the ALS Ice-bucket challenge, to help raise awareness about the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis disease. More players will continue this challenge in the coming days.

Kelly Agius Pace, Chantal Fenech, Alexia Scicluna and Gabriella Zahra all accepted to take part in the ALS Ice-bucket challenge.

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one's head. The challenge dares nominated participants to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured on their heads. Nominated people have 24 hours to comply or forfeit by way of a charitable financial donation. This activity has gone viral, with many celebrities and persons from all walks of life taking part.

Raising awareness about ALS is important, but one can help further by donating to the ALS Association in the United States. More information can be found on the ALSA website.

The players from Birkirkara FC Women's Team will be presenting a donation to the ALS later on this month.
