Matheus Bissi extends his stay

by Ivan Mizzi - 21st August 2014

Brazilian defender Matheus Bissi has extended his contract with Birkirkara FC with another two years. The signing of the new contract means that Bissi will remain a Birkirkara player until the end of 2015-2016 season.

Matheus, who is 23 years old joined our Club in the 2013 Summer Transfer Market. He made his official debut in the second Premier League fixture on Saturday, 24 August in the 1-1 draw against Sliema Wanderers and during last season he made twelve appearances in the BOV Premier League and netted five goals.

Bissi is the third foreign defender that has been confirmed by the Club, after Nikola Vukanac who signed a three-year contract last year, and Alejandro Mendoza who signed a two-year contract earlier this summer.

We would like to wish Matheus the best of luck for the upcoming two seasons.
