Birkirkara FC signs Nassir Maachi

Birkirkara FC made the first signing of the January Transfer Window, when they acquired the services of the Dutch forward, Nassir Maachi.

Nassir is a twenty-nine year old forward player who enjoyed a very interesting career. He began his career a youth player at Utrecht FC, where he made his first team debut during the 2005-2006 season, and then spent two seasons with the club.

In the 2007-2008 he joined Dordrecht FC on loan from Utrecht and spent one season with them. During this season, he was a regular choice by making thirty-eight appearances and he scored eleven goals.

Nassir moved to another Dutch Club in 2008 where he spent three successful seasons in which he made eighty-eight appearances and scored twenty-seven goals. In the 2011-2012 season he joined Zwolle FC and scored eighteen goals in forty matches.

His last spell saw him moving out of Holland to Cyprus with AEK Larnaca. With Larnaca he spent two successful season in which he played forty-one matches and scored thirteen goals.
