Birkirkara FC present new signings and squad for European games

Yesterday evening Birkirkara FC presented the squad, including the new players and some trialists, for Season 2015-2016, in front of a numerous crowd at the Infetti Training Centre in Birkirkara.

In the highlight were the Club's two signings namely Vito Plut and the former Juventus, Palermo and Lecce striker among others, Fabrizio Miccoli. Miccoli arrived in Malta yesterday and signed his one-year contract with our Club while for Plut this will be the second season in Malta after playing for Floriana FC last season.

The other foreigners for the Stripes are Ellinton Morais, Mauricio Mazzetti, Nikola Vukanac, Rafael Ledesma and Shola Shodiya. Three players have returned from loan, Andrew Scicluna and Terence Vella were loaned to Naxxar Lions, and Daniel Zerafa who was loaned to the St. George's FC.

Head Coach Giovanni Tedesco, assisted by Josef Mansueto, will be leading to squad who have returned from an intensive ten day training camp in Roccaporena in Italy.

Birkirkara will play the home match of the UEFA Europa League this Thursday at the Hibernians Stadium, at 20:45. The away match will be played seven days later at the Vazgen Republican Stadium at 18:00.
