A heavily depleted Birkirkara FC Under-17's Team, suffered the first defeat in four matches of the APS Bank Under-17's League, when they were defeated by Hibernians with a 3-0 score.

Hibernians built a two-goal cushion in the opening ten minutes. To make things worse for the Stripes, Miguel Amato had to be substituted on the twenty-fifth minute, to add to the long injury list the team currently has. The first half ended with Hibernians leading by two.

In the second half, the Stripes increased the pressure to get back in the match but the Hibernians goalkeeper, who was on top form on the day, denied the Stripes and it was the Paolites who late in the match sealed the issue with the third goal following a fast counter-attack.

BIRKIRKARA: Kurt Polidano, Braden Calleja (60' Isaac Cirana), Briam Mifsud, Alessio Azzopardi, Miguel Amato (25' Justin Cardona), Jordan Sciberras, Neil Micallef, Ayrton Attard (75' Tyron Cachia), Kyle Mifsud, Aidan Micallef, Gianluca Zammit.
