Stripes to face Hibernians in last match of second round

by Ayrton Galea - 14th February 2016

Birkirkara FC will be hoping to complete their second-round commitments of the BOV Premier League by returning to winning ways when they take on second-placed Hibernians FC.

The Stripes are coming from a goal-less draw against Floriana and a narrow 1-0 defeat to Balzan in their last outing. This defeat brought to an end a positive six-match unbeaten run in the Premier League and was the first one under the helm of Head Coach Mr. Drazen Besek.

On the other hand, Hibernians recovered from the surprises 2-2 draw against St. Andrew's with a narrow 2-1 victory over Sliema Wanderers. For the Paolites, this was their fifth match unbeaten following the 3-2 defeat against Valletta.

In the first-round, both teams shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Jorge Santos Silva opening the score for Hibernians before it was cancelled out by Ryan Camenzuli.

The match is going to be played at the National Stadium and it will kick off at 16:00.
