Shaun Bajada re-joins Birkirkara FC

by Ivan Mizzi - 27th June 2016

Birkirkara FC continued their recruitment drive during the 2016 Transfer Market when they completed their third signing. Technical midfielder Shaun Bajada joined our Club for his second spell with our Club when just a few moments ago, he signed a one-year contract.

This will be the second spell for the thirty-two year old technical midfielder after he had spent five years with our Club between 2007 and 2012 where with our Club won one FA Trophy and one BOV Premier League. During the 2009-2010 season, he scored the decisive goal in the 1-0 victory over Tarxien Rainbows which declared Birkirkara mathematically as Champions.

Shaun will continue to strengthen the midfield department while increasing the core of Maltese players. He is the fourthsigning but he is the second Maltese player to join during this Summer Transfer Market after Serbian duo Predrag Jovic and Srdjan Dimitrov and goalkeeper Andreas Vella joined our Club in mid-June.

Shaun will be joining the rest of the contingent tomorrow evening as he is eligible to play in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.

We would like to welcome Shaun while we wish him all the best of luck in his adventure with our Club.
