Stripes seek to build momentum

Birkirkara FC will be seeking to maintain their perfect start to the Premier League campaign, when this evening when they face Tarxien Rainbows FC in the second day League.

Last Friday, Birkirkara scored three goals late in the match, for an easy 4-0 victory over St. Andrew's thanks to a goal each by Srdjan Dimitrov, Edward Herrera, Ryan Scicluna and debutant James Brincat.

On the other hand, Tarxien were denied from a win with a ninetieth minute goal by Gzira United to share the spoils in a 1-1 draw. They had surged ahead just before the half-time, thanks to one of their newcomers Daniel Ponce de Leon Garcia.

Birkirkara and Tarxien signed a new player each during this week. The Stripes took on board defender Steve Bonnici, while forward Julian Galea joined the Rainbows from Melita FC.

The match will be played at the Hibernians Stadium and will kick off at 18:30.
