Late goal denies Stripes

A late goal denied Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team from an important victory in the Youths League Section A but they had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Hibernians FC.

The Stripes surged ahead after four minutes thanks to an own goal but before the end of the first-half, Hibernians equalised thanks to a penalty. Gianluca Zammit regained Birkirkara's lead following a free-kick by Ayrton Attard but when the match seemed to be heading Birkirkara's way, Hibernians equalised late in the match to take a point.

The Stripes will take on Pembroke Athleta in the next match on Thursday evening. The match will be played at the Siggiewi Grounds and it will kick off at 20:15.
