Birkirkara FC Under-17's Team suffered their second consecutive defeat in the APS Bank Under-17's League, when they ended up playing with nine players in the first-half and lost to leaders St. Andrew's FC with a 5-2 score.

St. Andrew's surged ahead early in the match but Ayrton Attard made the score level. However, in space of three minutes, Lian Formosa and Nick Farrugia where sent off, leaving the Stripes with nine men.

With a numerical advantage, St. Andrew's scored four without reply to make sure of the victory, before Carlo Zammit Lonardelli scored a consolation goal for the Stripes. By this result, St. Andrew's opened a comfortable seven-point lead on top of the table.
