Birkirkara FC registered their second victory in the Mosta Tournament, when they came from a goal behind to defeat Naxxar Lions with a 2-1 score.

Club's latest signing Alexander Nilsson made his first appearance while goalkeeper Philip Schranz returned between the posts after missing the last match.

The First Half

Naxxar Lions went ahead after just seven minutes with a wonderful curving shot what gave goalkeeper Schranz no chance.

Birkirkara made the score level on the half-hour mark. Technical player Bruno Andrade delivered an inch-perfect free-kick inside the box and the towering forward Luke Montebello hit home with a powerful header.

The Second Half

The Stripes turned the score in their favour five minutes inside the second half. Llywelyn Cremona did a powerful run down the right flank before he cut inside the box and served Jake Grech who fired past the Naxxar Lions goalkeeper from inside the box.

Goalkeeper Philip Schranz assured Birkirkara's victory five minutes from time, when the up-and-coming goalkeeper produced a wonderful save from the penalty kick, following a foul inside the box.
