Match Preview: Birkirkara FC vs. Hibernians FC

by Ayrton Galea - 18th November 2017

Birkirkara FC will be back in action in the BOV Premier League, when this afternoon they will take on Hibernians FC.

The Stripes will be seeking to return to winning ways after they were unfortunate not to take any points in their last match, as despite they produced one of the best performances this season, Balzan scored two late goals to win the match with a 2-1 score.

On the other hand, Hibernians, after beating Lija Athletic with a 3-0 score, shared the spoils with Valletta in a goal-less draw, with the Paolites played for thirty-minutes with one player more, as Joseph Zerafa was sent off for the Citizens.

Birkirkara are in the eighth position with thirteen points from ten matches, while Hibernians are sixth with eighteen points. A victory for the Stripes will them trimming the gap to just two points as well as level points with Hamrun Spartans, who the latter take on Valletta tomorrow.

The Stripes will be without midfielder Matthew Guillaumier who suffered an injury in the last match against Balzan FC.

The match will be played at the Hibernians Stadium and it will kick off at 16:00. Transport from Valley Road will leave at 14:45.

Come on the Stripes!
