Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team extended their positive run in the Youths League Section A when they registered a comfortable 3-0 victory over bottom-placed Qormi FC. This was the fifth victory in six matches and the sixth match unbeaten for the Stripes.

The Stripes enjoyed an edge over their opponents for long stretches, and the victory was a deserved one. Nick Borg put the Stripes ahead, while a brace by Ayrton Attard secured the victory for the Stripes.

Birkirkara surged ahead mid-way the first half. Ayrton Attard's cross found Nick Borg on the second post who hit home with a confident back-heel finish. This was the fourth goal for Borg in the Youths League Section A.

Ayrton Attard scored two goals in quick succession to wrap-up the victory in the first fifteen minutes of the second half. First, he dribbled past his marker and hit a low-shot home, while six minutes later, the same player scored his second personal goal with a close-range effort.

The Stripes will be involved in the last match of the first round against Sliema Wanderers FC. The match will be played on Monday, 15 January at the Centenary Stadium and it will kick off at 20:00.
