Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team suffered the second defeat in the Youths League Section A, when three goals in the second half condemned them to a 3-0 defeat against Sliema Wanderers FC.

Following a goal-less first half, Omar Elouni put the Wanderers ahead three minutes inside the second half. Miguel Mifsud doubled their lead on the fifty-seventh minute before Kurt Shaw wrapped-up the victory with the third goal on the sixty-fourth minute.

The Stripes were a depleted side as Neil Micallef, Shaun Xuereb were ruled-out injured while Gianluca Zammit started on the substitutes' bench after playing almost all game the day before with the Senior Team.

The Stripes finished the first-round in the second place, joined with St. Andrew's FC with nineteen points, four under the only undefeated side, Mosta FC. The Stripes will take on St. Andrew's FC next Monday in a direct encounter for the second place.
