Brazilian winger Jorge Santos Silva has today been released by Birkirkara FC. The release was granted due to the player invoking an opt-out clause in his contract. Following this release, Jorge is now set to continue his playing career in his native country of Brasil.

Summer School goes Beach Soccer

We are in the school summer holidays, the time for more fun and excitement than usual. The Birkirkara FC Youth Nursery has decided to take part in beach soccer every Thursday, for the children attending the different categories at the Summer School.

First Team's Schedule for the week

Birkirkara in Tivoli Cup

Today Birkirkara FC confirmed their participation in the Tivoli Cup which will be played on Friday 10 August, at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. The match will kick off at 19:30.

AME Cup launched

Today a press conference was held at Canas y Tapas, to launch the first edition of the AME Cup, which will be contested by eight Premier League clubs. The tournament will be played between Sunday 22 July and Sunday 5 August at the Luxol Stadium.

Paul Zammit gives his views following elimination

Following yesterday's match where Birkirkara were unluckily eliminated with the away goal, a press conference was held and Mr. Paul Zammit gave the following comments about the match and the elimination from the first round.

Unlucky Birkirkara eliminated but not defeated

Luck was not on Birkirkara's side for the second time in a week's time when despite having an edge over their opponents, the match ended in a goal less draw with FK Metalurg Skopje advancing thanks to the 2-2 draw at the Hibernians Stadium.
