Luke Montebello was born on the 13 August 1995 and he plays as a centre-forward. He is a product of the Birkirkara FC Youth Academy that made it to the top-level in Malta.
He started playing football with our academy at the age of just five years, and he made it all the way up with the Under-17’s Team, before a luxury experience of joining Livorno Calcio saw the towering forward signing a two-year contract with Italian club.
Following his return in our country, Luke joined Valletta FC in September 2013. After a memorable season with the Citizens, where the latter won the double, he was loaned out to Zebbug Rangers FC in Season 2014-2015 and to Tarxien Rainbows FC in Season 2015-2016. With Tarxien, he scored twelve goals in thirty-one appearances.
Montebello joined Pembroke Athleta FC on loan in Season 2016-2017, but he returned to Valletta FC. He made nineteen appearances and scored five goals with the Citizens, while he was part of the squad that won the BOV Super Cup.
In summer 2017, Luke signed a two-year contract with our Club to return with his childhood club.
