U19 share the spoils against Valletta

Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team grabbed their second point from the opening four matches in the Youths League Section A when they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw against Valletta FC in a match where both goals were scored in the first fifteen minutes of the match.

Valletta surged ahead after seven minutes but the Stripes levelled matters just five minutes later when Timmy served Kurt Zammit with the latter beating the Valletta goalkeeper with a fine strike.

Two minutes in added time, the Stripes were denied from the winning goal when Diego Bartolotta Camarillo's direct free-kick smashed against the up-right while on the other side of the pitch Roberto Curmi made an excellent tackle before the Valletta striker could pull the trigger to settle for a final 1-1 draw.
