Birkirkara are the new kings of Maltese football, as today they have been declared as Champions of the BOV Premier League 2009-2010 season. This is the teams' third league title and seventeenth honour of its' sixty year history.

With several people predicting that come the end of the season our side would be occupying a mid-table or Relegation Pool position, 'the Stripes' have shown superb talent and determination to silence the critics and consequently be the team that has managed to achieved the biggest amount of points in the Championship Pool.

With this result, Birkirkara have left arch rivals and professional side Valletta in second place, wondering why and how their team has missed on the league title yet again, despite being the clear favourites to do so for the second year running. No one can enjoy the sort of disbelieving joy that we are feeling at the moment.

Ladies and gentleman, young and old, it's time to party hard with the committee members, technical staff, players, fellow supporters and all the personnel that somehow form part of our glorious club.

Together, let's show Malta how a proper football celebration should be like. Let's make the next couple of days, a truly unforgettable experience for all the 'Karkarizi'.

See you ALL in 'Wied it-Tigri', for Malta's biggest football celebration of the season!
