Rodrigo Frank Pereira joins Birkirkara FC

by Ivan Mizzi - 28th July 2011

Brazilian central defender Rodrigo Frank Pereira agreed terms with our club and few moments ago he signed a one year deal contract.

Rodrigo was born on the 20 February 1981 and last season he was playing for First Vienna in the Top League of Austria. With First Vienna, where he was the captain of the team, he played 17 matches and he started 16 matches and was included as a substitute once. With this team he managed to score two goals.

Rodrigo arrived Malta last Wednesday and he made his debut, last Friday where our squad played a friendly match against Marsaxlokk and emerged as winners with a 3-2 score. Rodrigo was utilised in the first half but was substituted in the half time break. Last Monday he made his second appearance, this time against Mosta, and once again he played the first half and was then substituted during the half time. In both outings he gave a solid performance.

His debut as a player registered with Birkirkara will be tomorrow evening against Vittoriosa in the third and last match of the Mosta Tournament.

We would like to wish Rodrigo the best of luck in his adventure with our Club.
