Birkirkara Under-19's extended their impressive winning streak to twelve matches when a late goal by the striker Kurt Zammit handed the Stripes their twelfth consecutive victory, with a score of 1-0 score over Hibernians.

The Stripes maintained their unstoppable form by winning their twelfth straight victory in the league, and have now moved just five points away from winning the Youths title for the first time in the Club's history when they emerged as winners in a balanced match.

Once again, it was Kurt Zammit who scored the decisive goal as the promising youngster netted his thirteenth goal in just ten matches.

The match procved to be a balanced encounter with the Stripes enjoying large swaths of possession inside the first forty-five minutes, where they created several good scoring opportunities but which failed to be converted.

In the second half, Hibernians went out better and they piled-up pressure on the current leaders but the latter hold strong. When the good number of Birkirkara supporters that turned up for this match started to think the match was going end in a draw, Kurt Zammit had other ideas. He scored with brilliant volley from the edge of the box, much to the joy of the Birkirkara clan.
