Birkirkara FC Under-15's Team confirmed their huge potential on Saturday afternoon when they registered an emphatic victory. In a one-sided match, they beat Dingli Swallows with a score of 14-0, to collect their second victory in Group 6 of the Group phase.

With the result itself indicative of the story of the match, the Stripes were too superior to their opponents and they scored no less than nine goals in the first half while adding another five in the second half period.

Ayrton Attard certainly stole the show by scoring six goals, with the other goals coming from a brace by Carlo Zammit and goals by Zak Grech, Aiden Micallef, Ryan Tonna, Gilmor Sammut, Briam Mifsud and Kyle Mifsud respectively.

The First Half

As expected, from the beginning of the match, the difference in level between Birkirkara and Dingli was clearly evident. The Stripes took complete control of the game and only after three minutes Ayrton Attard found the net following a perfect cross from Aiden Micallef.

Just five minutes later, the Stripes made them two. It was yet another great cross by Micallef, this time finding Zak Grech who doubled the score for the Stripes.

Ayrton Attard did the almost impossible by scoring four goal in the space of just four minutes, for a tally of five goals in just thirteen minutes, with Aiden Micallef adding another goal on the fourteenth minute.

Ayrton Attard scored his sixth goal of the game on the nineteenth minute and five minutes from half time. Birkirkara Coach Mr. John Vella made two substitutions on the twentieth minute, as Ayrton Attard and Nicholas Farrugia were replaced by Neil Friggieri and Michele Vella.

Carlo Zammit made them nine for the Stripes to end the first half with a nine-goal lead.

The Second Half

At the start of the second half, the Birkirkara Coach made another substitution when the former Pembroke Athleta player, Zak Grech, was replaced by Eathan Lethridge.

The Stripes made them ten just one minute into the second half thanks to a goal by Ryan Tonna. Nine minutes later, in the Stripes' last change, the same player was replaced with Gilmour Sammut.

Sammut put his name on the scoring sheet just three minutes after being introduced as a substitute. The Stripes rounded off their brilliant performance with another three goals. First, Carlo Zammit scored his second goal and Birkirkara scored another two-quick fire goals thanks to Briam Mifsud on the fifty-eighth minute and Kyle Mifsud just a minute later.

Birkirkara will be involved in the third and last match of the group phase in Group 6 next Sunday when they face Mqabba in a decisive match.
