Birkirkara FC Girls Under-16's Team turned on the heat on Sunday morning when they made them three for three to extend their brilliant start in the Girls League Under-16's Team thanks to a comfortable victory over Hibernians FC with a 5-0 score.

The Stripes had registered a comfortable 5-1 victory in the opening match against Zebbug Rangers and went on to beat Raiders FC with a 4-0 score before last Sunday producing another emphatic performance to register another big victory and the second consecutive clean-sheet by goalkeeper Anthea Enriquez.

The First Half

Birkirkara took just three minutes to surge ahead. Sarah Urpani controlled the ball outside the box and hit an excellent up-rising shot that gave no chance to the Hibernians goalkeeper Anastasia Cauchi.

The Stripes continued to dictate matters. Michela Felice surged down the right flank before her low shot ended wide while just three minutes later, Giulia Micallef served Samantha Zarb who advanced forward before she was denied by a great save of goalkeeper Cauchi.

Birkirkara doubled their lead two minutes before half-time. Samantha Zarb served Mariah Sciberras and controlled the ball before turning in-front of the goal and her shot hit hard past goalkeeper Cauchi.

The Second Half

The Stripes continued where they left in the first half and five minutes inside the second half, they scored the third goal. Sciberras raced forward on the flank before serving Michela Felice who had a routine task of slotting the ball home for the third goal.

Birkirkara increased the lead on the thirty-seventh minute. Sarah Urpani won possession outside the box and showed great abilities to surge forward and surprise goalkeeper Cauchi with a low shot to score her second personal goal and the fourth one for the Stripes.

Four became five. On the fourty-first minute, Michela Felice had a shot blocked by the Hibernians goalkeeper and Nicole Zammit who was subbed on just moments before scored her first goal in the league this season from the rebound for a final 5-0 score.
