A very controversial penalty five minutes into added time denied Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team from returning to winning ways in the Youths League Section A, when on Thursday evening they shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw against St. Andrew's FC.

The Stripes looked to be heading to a hard-fought 3-2 win, but a controversial penalty kick, for a foul which seemed to be outside the box, awarded St. Andrew's the perfect opportunity to equalise and take something from the match.

Birkirkara opened the score after ten minutes thanks to Joseph Willy after being by served Clint Zammit. They doubled the lead with a goal by Liam Reno Gatt just past the hour mark. St. Andrew's pulled one back two minutes later but Clint Zammit regained a two-goal lead for the Stripes fifteen minutes from time. Ten minutes from time, St. Andrew's narrowed the gap before, they equalised five minutes into added time.
