Women's Team beaten by Raiders

Birkirkara FC Women's Team suffered the second consecutive defeat in the BOV Women's First Division League on Tuesday evening, when a goal deep into stoppage time condemned them to a 3-2 defeat against Raiders.

The Stripes surged ahead nine minutes from time thanks to a penalty converted by Stephania Farrugia to end the first-half in the lead. Tracy Thuema equalised for Raiders near the hour mark with a close-range shot after her penalty kick was blocked by goalkeeper Janice Xuereb.

Rodianne Zerafa sent Raiders ahead six minutes from time but Kim Parnis equalised on the nineteenth minute. However, Zerafa gave Raiders a dramatic victory three minutes in stoppage time.
