Birkirkara FC sign Serbian duo

by Ivan Mizzi - 17th June 2016

Just a few moments ago Birkirkara FC completed their first two new signings in this Summer Transfer Market. Towering defender Predrag Jovic and offensive technical midfielder Srdjan Dimitrov, who are both from Serbia, signed a one-year contract with our Club.

Pregrag is a twenty-nine year old defender, who was born in Belgrade. He is described as a very strong defender thanks to his physique and he is well known for his defensive skills where he also stands out for his ability to win air-balls and clean tackling.

The towering defender played most of his career in the First Division League of Serbia. Following a positive season in the Super Liga, the top division of Serbia with FK Radnicki in the 2014-2015 season, last season he started the season with Kolubara in the First Division League before moving to Indija. With the latter, he won a regular place as he made thirteen appearances and scored two goals.

On the other hand, Dimitrov is well known for technical skills as the offensive player can play either behind the striker or on the wing. Dimitrov is considered as a fast player who can be lethal in front of goal while he has the desired skills to feature as a play-maker.

He was playing last in the first division of Serbia with Indija who finished in the fourth position, after he had started the season with Napredak. With Indija, he made eleven appearances and contributed a number of assists.

We would like to welcome Predrag and Dimitrov while we wish them all the best of luck in their adventure with our Club.
