Gareth Sciberras bids farewell

Club's Captain Gareth Sciberras bid an emotional farewell on Saturday evening during the Club's presentation night. The Under-17's Team and the Women's Team were rewarded for their success in the previous season, while Charles Sciberras was given recognition during the event.

One of the most exemplary players that have ever worn our shirt said that it was a pleasure and honour to wear our shirt for the six years. He believes that although this six-year journey had some downs, this has been a memorable experience for him.

Sciberras, who became a registered member during the event, went on saying that now his role as a player is over and will be supporting the team. He encouraged all the supporters to stay behind the team so together they will help the Club to get back on winning honours.

The Under-17's Team and the Women's Team were rewarded for their success, while they were presented with a small memento by the Club's President Mr. Frank Zarb. The Club's President sent his best wishes to Women's Team while pointed out that the Under-17's Team are the Club's future. Mr. Zarb also presented the team's top-scorer award to Ayrton Attard.

Mr. Charles Sciberras who was awarded ‘Gieh Birkirkara' was also recognised in the event. The Club's president went on thanking Charles for all his hard work during all these years.
