BOV Female Player of the Month - Stephania Farrugia

Birkirkara FC Women's Team Captain Stephania Farrugia has been rewarded for her performances in the opening two months of the BOV Women's League by winning the BOV Player of the Month for September and October.

The MFA Best Female Player for Season 2017-2018 maintained her form in the opening two months of the new league campaign to clinch the first individual award in Women's football for Season 2018-2019.

Farrugia played a key-role in Birkirkara's 2-0 victory over arch-rivals Hibernians FC in the first match of the league, as she produced an empathic performance at the back. The Birkirkara defender notched a brace in Birkirkara's 5-0 victory against Mosta FC thanks to two brilliant headers.

Charles Azzopardi, Executive PR & Marketing at Bank of Valletta presented the BOV Female Player of the Month trophy for October 2018 to Stephania Farrugia. Bank of Valletta is a long-term supporter of sporting initiatives in Malta and Gozo through its commitment towards the community in which it operates.
