Match Preview | Birkirkara FC - Balzan FC

by Clayton Schembri - 12th September 2021

Birkirkara FC will be back in action in the BOV Premier League this evening after the international break, when in an upbeat mood after a perfect start, they will take on the neighbours Balzan FC.

The Stripes will be fancying their chances of extending their perfect start to three wins in a row, after they registered two convincing victories in the opening two matches. They kicked off their league campaign with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Mosta FC and they registered a narrow 2-1 victory against last season champions Hamrun Spartans.

On the other hand, Balzan FC aim to bounce back to winning ways after falling to a 1-0 defeat against Valletta.

The Stripes will be without the services of Claudio Bonanni, who is suspended after he was red carded against Hamrun and without Enrico Pepe who suffered a knock during international duty against Slovenia. Otherwise, coach Andre Paus has a full squad at his disposal.

The match will be at the Tony Bezzina Stadium and will kick off at 19:00.
