Emiliano Lattes was born on 28 January 1985 and he is one of Birkirkara's latest recruits.
Lattes, who is from Argentina played in Malta for the first time in 2009, when he spent a very successful year with Msida St. Joseph.
In Malta, Emiliano has managed to impress all the fans with his remarkable runs and technique. When it comes to counter attacks every defense player must be alert when Lattes is in possession of the ball because of his velocity.
Last season, Emiliano's solid performance was not enough to avoid 'The Saints' from being relegated but his three important goals and perfect assists surely grabbed the attention of those who had watched him play.
In the beginning of the 2010-2011 season, Emiliano joined Sliema Wanderers and in fact his debut with the 'Wanderers' was against Champions Birkirkara in the Euro Challenge Cup where Sliema beat Birkirkara with a 3-0 score line. This was a game which allowed Lattes to continue impressing the fans with his skills.
Later on in the middle of July, Sliema released Lattes due the number of foreigners that the 'Wanderers' had registered and, Birkirkara did not miss the golden opportunity. In fact, it was just a few hours later that Emiliano joined 'The Stripes' for the following two years.
In his first season with Birkirkara, Emiliano Lattes surely was one of the best, if not the best player in the season. In the Premier League, Emiliano appeared in every match as he made 28 appearances and he started 25 matches while three times he was included as a substitute.
In the same competition, he was Birkirkara's top-scorer with 8 goals, and the player who was voted as Man of the Match most times. In fact he was chosen for this award 8 times. He was voted as the BOV Player of the Month in February.
The following season Emiliano failed to reach an agreement over the renewal of his contract with the Club, and he joined Marsaxlokk F.C.
