Keith Fenech was born on June 17 1991 and he is another youngster who he is getting the opportunity to show his skills with the senior squad.

Keith started football with his home town Zebbug where he played till Under 10, he then joined the Birkirkara Nursery and continually improved with time, which lead him to being part of the senior squad today. Managing to form part of one of Malta's top clubs is not an easy task, but this is all deserved for Keith, since he always considered football as an important part of his life and. It had been predicted by many that by time he would reach his potential and play in a Premier League club.

Gradually, Keith began to show his real skills, and managed to impresses everyone with his speed and technical skills. His best period with the nursery was from under 14 till under 16 as he was in a superb form, and his skills were very vital for the team; so it was no wonder that although at a very young age, he was called up to join the senior squad. In fact he made his debut on 16 October 2006 against Floriana where our team finished the game in a 1-1 draw with Keith playing the last fifteen minutes when he was just fifteen years old.

Keith has already made an International debut as well, as he played several times for the National Squad of his age group, but, all of a sudden his career seemed to have come to a negative halt.

Unfortunately, in 2007 when he was with the Under 16, Keith suffered an ankle injury which put his career on hold for no less than two years and ten months. But thanks to his determination and passion for football that he decided to try his luck again, even though it is obviously very difficult to get back in the game after almost three years of being injured.

After this injury, his eagerness to play was very visible in his performances in the 2010 pre-season as he successfully managed to impress the supporters.

Keith made his come-back in the 2010-2011 Season on the 21st August in the Super Cup final against Valletta where he replaced Thomas Paris in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, Keith and the rest of his team mates did not have the joy of winning the cup, as a goal by one of the Summer 2010 acquisitions, Joseph Okonkwo in the injury time of the 2nd half period of extra time, denied Birkirkara the cup.

The 2010-2011 season will be a difficult one for Keith to be in the starting eleven, as both experienced and talented strikers are there to fight for their place but it is without a doubt, that he will make all his possible effort to show his striker's skills whenever he is given the opportunity.

The future of this youngster is looking very bright indeed, as his attacking skills especially his speed and technique to go past a defender are very vital, and he will boost in no small way the attacking department. It would come as no surprise if, in the near future, we will be seeing Keith spoken of as one of the best youngsters in the local league.
