Jhonnattann Da Conceicao hails from Brazil and he was born on the 27 June 1989. The fast winger joined our Club in the 2012 Summer Transfer Market.

Jhonnattann signed his first professional contract with Cordoso Moreira FC, a club from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. He had a very successful spell with the club during which he scored 12 goals.

Then, he moved to another Brazilian side namely A.D. Cabofriense where he continued showing his scoring skills by netting 10 goals before moving to another club where he netted another 15 goals.

The Brazilian winger moved to Volta Redonda where in two seasons he managed to score no less than 25 goals.

Season 2012-2013

Jhonnattann was brought to Malta by Valletta, and with the Citizens he played the Euro Cup matches and the 1st round of the UEFA Champions League commitments. After scoring a brace in the first leg in the trashing 8-0 win over Lusitans, he scored the winning goal in the away leg. However, Valletta failed to reach an agreement with Jhonnattann over his contract and the club released him.

Birkirkara had been after Jhonnattann's services from before he joined Valletta, so it was only natural that the Club offered him a trial. Jhonnattann managed to impress from the very first appearance as on the 22 July, he managed to score a brace in the comfortable 4-2 over Sliema Wanderers in the opening match of the AME Cup.

Jhonnattann had another three positive performances in the AME Cup against Qormi, Rabat Ajax and Mosta. He also scored the equalising goal in the match against Rabat, which Birkirkara won with a 4-1 score. The committee offered the Brazilian winger a contract, which he signed on the 3 August 2012.

His first minor honour with our Club arrived soon after as on 5 August, Birkirkara came back from behind to beat Sliema Wanderers with a 2-1 score and were declared winners of the AME Cup.

Jhonnattann made his official debut with our Club on Monday 20 August in the first match of the Premier League 2012-2013, against Melita. He was included as a substitute late in the second half, and moments later he scored. It was the fourth goal, of the 4-0 victory Birkirkara registered over Melita.

Jhonnattann's firing performance established him as the Stripes' deadly striker. The Club's best striker was a key player for the yellow-reds to clinch their fourth Championship in their history.

The Brazilian utility player, who played most of the matches as a striker made 31 league appearances, in which he started 27 matches, while he was included as a substitute four times.

In the Premier League, Jhonnattann manage to net no less than 14 goals to be the Club's best scorer while he was voted the man-of-the-match for no less than eleven times, being the most player in the league to be voted as the man-of-the-match.

Season 2013-2014

Jhonnattann’s 2013-2014 season didn’t start on the best note that it could be started as he had to miss the pre-season for personal reasons. However, he returned with the squad on the 10 September.

His goal scoring skills in the 2013-2014 BOV Premier League established him as the second best forward in the competition after netting twenty-one goals from twenty-eight matches played in which he started twenty-five matches while included as a substitute three times. During the same competition, he was also the team’s most voted BOV Player of the Match by winning this award eight times.
