Demba Toure is a Senegalese striker who was born on the 31 December 1984 and the prolific striker joined our Club in the 2013 Summer Transfer Market.
Toure played for Olympique Lyon in the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 season. In 2004 he was loaned to the Swiss' Club Grasshoppersa, and he then joined them on a permanent move. With Grasshoppers he enjoyed a positive five year spell where he made ninety-five appearances and managed to find the net fourteen times.
During his spell with Grosshoppers, in the 2007-2008 season, he was loaned out to Dynamo Kiev where he made six appearances.
From Grasshopers to Stade Reimis, a French association football club based in Reims, in 2009, Demba was a regular choice as he made 27 appearances.
After a one season spell with Stade Reimis, Demba signed a three and a half years contact with a Romanian Football Club, FC Astra Giurgi but Toure's contracted was terminated due to financial dispute with the club.
In January 2012, Demba joined Al-Oruba Dubai for the last six months of the season where he made 13 appearances and managed to net four goals.
On December 2012, Demba came for the first time to Malta and he signed for Valletta for the rest of the season. He made seventeen appearances, and he found the net eight times.
Demba Toure joined our Club on Thursday, 4 July 2013. Demba made his debut with our Club in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, 16 July in the goal-less draw against NK Maribor of Slovenia. Toure was included as a substitute in the 63rd minute.
