Frank Temile is a Nigerian forward, who was born on the 15 July, 1990. He is mostly known for his speed and technical skills and he joined our Club 2013 Summer Transfer Market.
Born in Lagos in Nigeria, Temile began his football career in his native Nigeria, with Covenant Lagos. In the 2006-2007 season, at the age of just sixteen years old, Temile joined leading Nigerian Premier League side Shooting Stars.
Following some impressive displays for Shooting Stars, Frank made a move to Valletta FC in the 2007-2008 season. In his first season with the Citizens, he scored 10 goals, and helped the club win the Maltese Premier League after an absence of seven years. His impact during the first season was so great that he was nominated for three prestigious awards in the Malta Football Awards. These were Best Forward, Most Promising Player and Best Foreign Player, and he won all three.
In summer of 2008, following a brilliant season with Valletta, Temile moved to Ukrainian’s team of FC Dynamo Kyiv. However, Temile's adventure did not turn our as expected as a cruciate injury sidelined Temile and he was omitted from Dynamo's first team.
With Frank fully recovered, and aiming to regain his top form, Temile returned to Malta and he joined our Club on the 6 July 2013 on a one-year deal. He made his debut with our Club on Tuesday, 16 July in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, 16 July in the goal-less draw against NK Maribor of Slovenia.
During his first season with our Club, in the BOV Premier League campaign, Temile played twenty-seven matches, in which he started sixteen matches while he was included as a substitute eleven times. He netted six goals in the BOV Premier League while he was voted the BOV Player of the Match once.
In the following season, Frank wasn’t retained by the Stripes and he joined Qormi. He made nineteen appearances in the first part of the season and he scored four goals. In the January Transfer Market, he joined Naxxar Lions and made nine appearances.
Frank returned with Birkirkara in the 2015-2016 Season. He enjoyed a very satisfactory season as he earned a regular place by making twenty-five appearances and scored seven goals while he was voted twice the BOV Player of the Match.
