Ryan Darmanin was born on the on the 12 December 1985. He plays as a central striker where he is well known for his striking abilities and he is best described as an opportunistic striker. He joined our Club in the January Transfer Market 2016.
He is a product of Floriana FC, and with the Greens he went through all the ranks before making it to the Senior Team. With Floriana, he established himself as one of the best Maltese central strikers on the island. In Season 2009-2010, he ended as the best third scorer in the league, with seventeen goals from twenty-eighth matches. He was also the Club’s best scorer during that season.
Following a short-term loan in January 2011, he returned with Floriana in season 2011-2012, for a season and a half, before mid-way January he brought to an end his long spell with Floriana by joining Balzan on a three-year contract. During the first five months, he scored five goals to end the Season 2012-2013 on a good note.
Ryan started the Season 2015-2016 with Balzan and till the end of 2015, he made twelve appearances and scored one goal. With Birkirkara seeking to strengthen their attacking department and in search for Maltese forwards, they acquired the services of Ryan Darmanin on Tuesday, 26 January when he signed a one and a half year contract. He made his debut with our Club in the goal-less draw against Floriana which was played on the 31 January 2016, and throughout the first five months with our Club, he made seven appearances.
He was released by the club on Monday, 11 July 2016.
