L´Imam Seydi was born on the 31 August 1985, in France, and he has dual-citizenship, as he also has a Senegalese passport. He plays as a forward and he is best described as a fast and a powerful striker, who can also play on the wing. He joined our Club in the January Market 2016.
Seydi has enjoyed a number of positive spells in the Hungarian top division, particularly with Diosgyor and Debrecen. He joined Diosgyor in Season 2011-2012 and spent two and a half seasons with them where he played fifty-three matches and scored twelve goals. He moved to Debrecen mid-way through season 2013-2014, and spent one and a half seasons with them. In season 2014-2015, he joined Nyíregyháza Spartacus FC and scored two goals.
In the 2015-2016 season, L’Imam joined Inter Baku in Azerbaijan. With Baku, he made seven appearances till the end of the year and scored one goal before he began to search for a new adventure. With the Stripes seeking to improve their attacking department, the choice fell on Seydi, and he joined our Club on Friday, 29 January when he signed a one and a half year contract.
He made his debut with our Club on the 6 February in the 1-0 defeat against Balzan. He spent only seven weeks with our Club where he played seven appearances and scored three goals while he was voted once the BOV Player of the Match. He was released on the 18 March 2016.
