Jorge Mora was born on 3 June 1982 and he joined Birkirkara FC for the first time in the 2009 Summer Transfer Market.

In the 2008-2009 season Birkirkara had two Maltese goalkeepers namely Bernard Pairs and Omar defending the posts but they failed to reach the desired level. The committee decided that for the folowing season a foreign goalkeeper should defend the posts.

In the Summer Transfer Market several goalkeeper were brought over on trial but unfortunately enough none of them satisfied the Birkirkara FC Technical Staff, until the arrival of the Spanish Goalkeeper.

While he was on trial, Birkirkara took part in the Carlsberg Tournament and in the first match of this competition; Jorge made his first appearance against Qormi. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. After Birkirkara took the lead thanks to a goal by Sylvano Comvalius, Qormi equalised thanks to a penalty.

After another two positive performances in the Carlsberg Tournament, the Birkirkara FC committee agreed terms with Spanish Goalkeeper and on the 21 August, Jorge Mora signed a one year deal.

His Premier League debut was on the same day in the match against Valletta when ‘The Stripes' were beaten with a score of 3-1.

In the 2009-2010 season, Jorge was one of the best players in the squad. He established himself as one of the best goalkeepers that had ever played with Birkirkara. Thanks to his wonderful saves, and precise drop kicks which started very dangerous counter attacks on many occasions, he was a real aset to the team. Many consider him as an extra defender as often he came out of the post to avert the danger.

In the Premier League he made 26 appearances, all of which he started in the first eleven. He managed to register no less than nine clean sheets and he was once voted the man of the match.

However the folowing season Mora was released by the Club when negotiations failed over a new contract.

In the 2010-2011 season Jorge spent the majority of the season without playingfor an established club. Towards the end Jorge joined a club to gain match practice for the following season.

In the 2011 Summer Transfer Market, Birkirkara FC decided to give Jorge Mora a new contract and on Saturday 18 June he signed another one year contract.
