Five players leave Birkirkara

by Matthaeus Grasso - 23rd June 2009

Four foreigners and a single Maltese player have left Birkirkara FC in order to resume their career elsewhere.

Prolific striker Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza, has left 'The Stripes' in order to join a much-strengthened Sliema W. side, who this season, are seemingly willing to aim for the BOV Premier League title.

The other four players to leave our squad are Bulgarian players; Kiril Mihaylov, Krasen Vulkov and Ivailo Sokolov (returned to his former club after a loan spell), with the fourth player being Italian defender Mauro Di Lello.

Following these departures, the Birkirkara FC administration will surely be looking to boost the squad by bringing in worthy replacements in order to seriously challenge for this year's major honours.
