Ryan Harding signs for 'The Stripes'

by Ivan Mizzi - 31st August 2010

Today, Birkirkara FC made their last acquisition for this summer transfer window as they managed to sign Scottish defender, Ryan Harding who will be the 4th foreigner for 'The Stripes'.

In the 2002/2003 season he was playing for Scottish side, Hibernian before moving to Livingston where in two years he had made only two appearances. In 2005, Ryan was transferred to Greenrock Morton where he had a spell of four successful years making no less than 124 appearances and scoring five goals. Last season he was transferred to East Stirlingshire where he made twenty two appearances.

The 26 year old, 1.88m tall player, has signed a one year deal. He has been training with Birkirkara for the past few weeks and has shown impressive skills and defending experience both in training sessions and even in the Carlsberg Tournament. Ryan has also displayed strong leadership skills, and can often be heard giving instructions to his team mates during the matches. It was no wonder that Mr. Paul Zammit has decided to engage the central back with the squad.

We wish Ryan the best of luck in the coming season with our beloved Club.
