Birkirkara sign on Michael Fraser

by Ivan Mizzi - 11th October 2010

Today, Birkirkara FC have registered their third goalkeeper for this season. The latest recruit is Michael Fraser, a Scottish goalkeeper who was on trial with our Club for the last few weeks.

It was the injury of the Brazilian goalkeeper Ezeuqiel Lovizon that prompted the Birkirkara FC Technical Team to engage another goalkeeper with 'The Stripes', as they could not rely on having just one fit goalkeeper.

Fraser, who is 27 years old and 188cm tall, was playing with Motherwall FC in the Scottish Premier League.

His first appearance with Birkirkara was in a friendly match against Pieta Hotspurs on Friday 1st October when our team managed to beat the 1st Division side with a 1-0 result.

Last week, he played against Tarxien Rainbows and Hamrun Spartans in a friendly triangular tournament before being substituted in the last twenty minutes with Manuel Bartolo.

We wish Michael the best of luck with our Club while hoping that his adventure with our shirt will be a successful one.
