Birkirkara FC appoints Mr Peter Pullicino as Assistant Coach

by Ivan Mizzi - 25th June 2011

Birkirkara FC engaged the services of former Marsaxlokk player and assistant coach Peter Pulllicino. He signed a one year contract with Birkirkara FC.

Peter Pullicino had been assisting Mr. Patrick Curmi in the last three weeks.

Without any doubt Peter Pullicino is not a new face in Maltese Football. He has enjoyed a very successful football career in Malta since 2001 when he joined Hibernians. With Hibernians he played 5 years and made no less than 115 appearances and managed to find the net 5 times. In his second year with Hibernians he won the Premier League.

In 2006 he joined Msida S.J. but his spell with them was quite short. With 'The Saints' he had 14 appearances and managed to find the net once. In the January Transfer Market he joined Marsaxlokk.

With Marsaxlokk he had a very successful spell and in 2007 he won another Premier League. With the south-sea-siders he had 74 appearances and managed to score four goals.

Mr. Pullicino will also be the head coach of the Under 19 squad.

We want to wish the best of luck to Peter in his adventure with our Club.
