Birkirkara to take part in the 'Gammari' Muscat' Mosta Tournament

Birkirkara will be taking part in 'Gammari' Muscat' Mosta Tournament. The other participants will be the hosts Mosta, current holders Tarxien Rainbows and Vittoriosa Stars. The tournament will be held on 25, 27 and 29 July. All matches will be played at the Mosta Grounds and there will be two matches on each of the three days. The first match will start at 18:45 and the second one at 20:45.
The tournament will be a on a Round Robin style where each team will face all the three opponents once. All matches will have duration of ninety minutes.
The final classification will be determined with the following list:
1. Maximum Points
2. Goals difference
3. Goals scored
4. Highest number of goals scored
5. Result of the direct match
6. Luck of the draw
In this tournament all the rules of the Malta Football Association will be applied, with one exception. Each team can make five substitutions.
The matches of this tournament will be controlled by the officials of the Malta Football Referees Association. This means that the referee will give the match report to the Malta Football Association for discipline reports where yellow and red cards will be valid as well.
The winner of the tournament will be presented with a trophy at the end of the tournament. The others participants will also be presented with a trophy as a memento of the tournament.
The organising committee appointed several ex-players, journalists and person s related to the world of football to choose the best three players of every team. At the end of each game, these judges will choose the best three players. In the end of the tournament the player who was awarded the most points will be given a trophy.

25th July, 18:45 - Tarxien R. vs. Vittoriosa, 20:45 - Birkirkara vs. Mosta
27th July, 18:45 - Birkirkara vs. Tarxien R., 20:45 - Vittoriosa vs. Mosta
29th July, 18:45 - Birkirkara vs. Vittoriosa, 20:45 - Tarxien R. vs. Mosta.
