Mr. Patrick Curmi parts ways with Birkirkara FC

by Ivan Mizzi - 28th September 2011

Mr. Patrick Curmi is no longer the Birkirkara FC Head Coach after earlier today an amicable agreement was reached with the Club to terminate his contract.

Mr Curmi joined our Club on Saturday, 21 May and his first match was in the Euro Cup against Floriana which was played on June 20, where despite a satisfactory performance, 'The Stripes' failed to win and end the game in a goal-less draw.

After opening the league campaign on a good note, where 'The Stripes' picked maximum points from the first two matches, the following three matches were a different story. First Hibernians had an easy 3-0 win, then Mqabba picked up an important point in a 2-2 draw and finally Sliema beat Birkirkara with a 1-0 win.

Assistant Coach Mr. Peter Pullicino will be taking charge of the team, untill a new Head Coach is appointed in the coming days.

We want to thank Mr. Curmi for the service he gave to our Club, while wishing him all the best in the rest of his career.
