Moises Avila Perez released

by Ivan Mizzi - 12th May 2012

The Spanish striker Moises Avila Perez has been released earlier today by Birkirkara FC. The release was agreed upon amicably and mutually, to serve the interest of both parties.

Moises made his first appearance with our Club on the 25th July when he was included as a substitute in the first match of the friendly quadrangular tournament against Mosta where he had a very good performance. In the next two matches, he was the hero for Birkirkara when they defeated Tarxien Rainbows and Vittoriosa with a 4-1 and 5-1 scores respectively with Moises scoring three goals in each match.

Following these impressive performances, he signed a one year deal with Birkirkara on the 2nd August. He made his Premier League debut in the first match of the League against Qormi which was played on the 19 August with ‘The Stripes' defeating Qormi with a 2-0 score. Moises had a very satisfactory performance scoring the 1st goal and then he was floored inside the area with the referee ordering the penalty which was converted.

In the Premier League, Moises was not always a regular choice but still he managed to end up as the best scorer for Birkirkara FC and the fourth one overall in the league. He scored fifteen goals in twenty-seven matches, in which he started twenty and he was included as a substitute in the other seven. He was voted twice as the man of the match.

We would like to thank Moises for his services towards our Club while wishing him all the best in his future.
