Omar Borg loaned to Marsaxlokk FC

by Ivan Mizzi - 9th August 2012

Today Birkirkara FC and First Division side Marsaxlokk FC agreed terms on the loan transfer of goalkeeper Omar Borg.

In the 2009-2010 season, Omar did not find enough playing opportunity in our squad. Following that, he was loaned out twice to Hamrun Spartans. This will be the third consecutive loan of the 31 year old goalkeeper.

Omar won three major honours with ‘The Stripes'. The first was the U*Bet FA Trophy in May 2008 where our team managed to beat Hamrun with a 2-1 score line. This was followed by the Euro Challenge Cup in July 2008 . The last honour was won on the 5th May 2010 when our team was crowned as the champion of the BOV Premier League.

We would like to wish Omar success with his new team.
