Women's Team Coach appeals for your support

Tomorrow Birkirkara will be involved in the last match of the UEFA Women Champions League Qualifying match from Group 3, when they face Glentoran Belfast United of Northern Ireland. The atmosphere in the Birkirkara FC's women team is great, and a sense of optimism is reigning over the whole clan. Last Monday, against all expectations, Birkirkara managed to contain their much more quoted opponents SU 1 Dezembro, and lost with a solitary goal. The squad played with determination and was focused, and they are rearing to repeat and improve on this performance tomorrow.

Women's Team Coach Mr. Johann Scicluna said, “We are coming from a very respectable result. I want to keep my players concentrated so that we will have another good performance in the coming match. It is another difficult test for us, because it will be our third high profile match within five days. In view of this, I am appealing to the supporters who have the Club at heart, to come to the match and give their support to our women's team, the same team that has won most cups in women's football locally.”

The match is going to be played the Centenary Stadium, and kick-off is at 17:00. Entrance is free. Your support can make all the difference, as the team needs your backing to make the extra effort to take something from this match.
