Birkirkara U15s shattered Pembroke by slamming seven goals past the shell-shocked Athleta to secure an astonishing 7-1 victory at Rabat.

In the second half the Birkirkara youngsters continued to show their class. Nick Borg, Kieran Xuereb and a brace from substitute Gianluca Zammit added their names to the scoresheet.

Pembroke pulled one back in the second half from the rebound after goalkeeper Axel Mallia initially saved Pembroke's no. 10 penalty shot.

Following the match, Coach Charles Micallef was pleased with the result but most of all with the good performance and continuation. He praised the boys that they have played all as one unit and after using all substitutions the level of football was still very good. He said that he was happy to see a mixture of both dynamic and set piece goals and that this shows that all the players are playing according to instructions and tactical plan.
