Birkirkara FC Women's Team aims to bounce back

Birkirkara FC Women's Team will be aiming to return to winning ways when this evening they will be involved in a difficult match against title contenders Hibernians.

Last Tuesday, Birkirkara brought to an end their 26 league matches unbeaten record after succumbing to Mosta with a score of 3-1.

On the other hand, Hibernians are with maximum points after the first two matches beating Pembroke Athleta with a 5-1 score and Hamrun Spartans with a very comfortable 9-0 score.

Last season Birkirkara and Hibernians met four times, three in the league and once in the Women's knock out. Birkirkara won the first round encounter with a 2-1 score while ending in 1-1 and 2-2 draws in the second and third round respectively. In the knock out, Birkirkara eliminated Hibernians in the semi final thanks to a two goals in the extra time period to beat them with a 3-1 score.

The match will be played a the Luxol Grounds and it is scheduled to kick off at 20:00.
