Appointment of new Club Secretary

Mr. Jason Deguara is the new Secretary of our Club after Mr. Ivan Muscat resigned from his position for personal reasons.

Mr. Muscat was elected in the committee for the first time in the 2011-2012 season where he was assigned in the role of Secretary. He was once again elected to the committee during the 2012 Annual General Meeting, and he took on the same role as before. Mr Muscat resigned both from Club Secretary and committee member, due to personal reasons.

According to the Club's statute, the vacant position in the committee has to be filled in by the person who got most votes from the unelected contestants. Mr Jason Deguara was next in line and he accepted to be a member of the committee.

Mr. Jason Deguara is not a new face in the Birkirkara's committee as he was the Assistant Secretary last season. The committee elected Jason Deguara as the new Club's Secretary.

We would like to thank Ivan for his sterling service to our Club and wish him all the best of luck in his personal life while welcoming Jason to his second term in the committee.
