Birkirkara Under 19's in a tricky encounter

by Ayrton Galea - 8th November 2012

The Birkirkara FC's Under 19 Team have the perfect chance to move alone in the second place this evening when they will face St. Patrick's in a tricky encounter.

Despite having three important players missing in the last match against current champions Pieta Hotspurs, Birkirkara managed to bounce back from the narrow 1-0 defeat against St. Andrew's, with a solitary goal by Shawn Deguara.

On the other hand, following a 1-1 draw against St. Andrew's in the first match of the league, St. Patrick's registered a comfortable 4-0 victory over Pieta Hotspurs but they were held in a goal-less draw by Mosta in their last outing.

Birkirkara are in fourth position, two points under Valletta and Hamrun Spartans, and one under Hibernians. Valletta and Hibernians played one match more than Birkirkara.

Ian Schembri will be back following one match suspension but Roderick Taliana and Aiden Galea are still ruled out to serve their second match suspension.

The match will be played at the Centenary Stadium and it is scheduled to kick off at 18:00.

Come on the Stripes!
