The Birkirkara Under 16 Girls team suffered their second consecutive defeat when in the match of the week they were beaten by Mosta with a 2-0 score.

Birkirkara received a major boost for this match, as national goalkeeper Janice Xuereb, who had suffered an ankle injury, managed to make it on time despite not being in the best condition.

Birkirkara performed a fine performance but a goal in each half by AnneMarie and Jade Flask were enough for Mosta to pick the precious points.

This was the second consecutive defeat after Birkirkara were defeated with a 4-1 score by Gozo and without any doubt, they will do their best to return to winning ways in the next match against Vittoriosa. The match will be played on the 2 December at the Gharghur ground and the match is scheduled to kick off at 10:00.
